I watched EuroTrip recently, and surprisingly, I loved it. I say it's better than American Pie.

I always perceived teen comedies and teen dramas as too repetitive and too annoying for me since a very young age. Not gonna lie, the first American Pie is a bit like that.

For EuroTrip, it hit different for me. I think it could be atributted to the fact that it's not just a familiar location but also for it's absurdity. So many teen movies stay in that safe area of every day sex jokes and that's it. Don't get me wrong, you find that here, but it has so many over the top scenes, sexual or not, that I just found it all so amusing.

There's a german kid with a Hitler moustache doing the salute; there's a moment when one of the main characters goes to meet some dutch hookers, only to find it's just a BDSM thing where he's the one who's going to get beaten up by 2 strong bald guys; one when people think the Pope died and one of the friends is elected as the new one in the same day. I could go on and on.

And of course, that song just fucking slaps, man. I had actually discovered Scotty Doesn't Know before as Spotify recommended me right after finished listening the MCR's debut. When it showed up the first time, I sang along.

Really liked Scott Mechlowicz as Scotty, which was actually cast in Mean Creek, other movie I watched a day before this one. He's awesome in both of them.

Great movie. I think I can say right now that it's my favorite sex comedy by far. Really underrated movie though (and band, as the 2006 album has some other bangers like Papillion). I found it when I searched for movies released in 2004 as I never heard about it before.
